This program seeks to develop lead teachers at grades
7-12 in the emerging area of nanoscale science. The year-long program
will engage teachers in sustained and content-rich
professional development as it offers science teachers opportunities to
learn and teach through inquiry and best practice. Through scientist
seminars and facility tours, teachers experience firsthand the nature
and diversity of nanoscience. Teachers review existing activities,
approaches, simulations that have been developed by NCLT and partner
with the Center to extend the content pool to make science and
technology more exciting and relevant to students.
Participant stipend: $1000
